On Monday, February 8th, I had my second tutoring session with Advanced Foundations student, Saaja. We met inside Strozier library in the afternoon. Saaja was very quiet, but I think it is because she doesn't speak english very well.
Like last time, Saaja and I reviewed her homework and the work that she had completed in school during the past week. Once again, I was very intrigued at the fact that though Saaja had performed poorly on her assignments, she seemed to grasp the concepts when we went over them together. This was especially prevalent when we reviewed the past tense. I think that Saaja needs to be more confident in her ability to learn English, because the knowledge is there I just think she is having trouble with the execution.
Saaja and I agreed to meet next monday at the same time. I hope that she can take what we reviewed and perform better on her assignments this week!
