I attended Ramin and Josh’s combined speaking class.
It was fantastic! Talk about a cultural melting pot, I loved it! Zoe and I met
with two young ladies, one from Saudi Arabia and the other from Columbia. They
each asked us how we felt about adoption. Then we asked them their views. We
all felt pretty similarly about the subject. The hour flew by.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the discussion in our group. The young lady from Saudi
Arabia seemed to feel more comfortable asking previously prepared questions
so I engaged her in conversation by returning the questions she asked us. I learned that there are no taxes in Saudi Arabia and women are not allowed to drive cars. Having her
input made the conversation more well-rounded. I enjoyed hearing everyone’s input as I
believe did the others. The students were as interested in finding out about our ‘American
views’, as Zoe and I were to find out about them.
