Today I also observed Tim's TP with his tutee Hector. I know Hector is in the 1C class, and I see him often studying hard at CIES after hours. Hector's pronunciation may prevent him from being assessed at the right level, as he seems to have a higher skill level than I thought. Tim had him do TOEFL writing exercises per Hector's request. He apparently had some organizational skills but his writing was well thought out and deep. His response to "is technology good or bad" had an awesome moral tone and was almost academic. He writes slow and surely makes sure everything is correct. He did two writing samples in this time and both were good, but, as Tim pointed out, Hector needs to work on organizing his essays.
