Mohammed and I worked on slang words today. I found a handy worksheet online that had a great list of slang words used in America. http://www.fluentu.com/english/blog/american-english-slang-words-esl/
Some of the slang words on the list are: amped, wheels, beat, sick, and ripped. All these words have their own definition but are used completely differently when used as slang. The website provided a lot of example sentences too.
For example: “Have you seen Martin lately?”
“No, why?”
“He’s done something to himself! He totally ripped!”
We went over a lot of the sentences and came up with our own as well, using each slang word appropriately. I felt like slang words were a great topic to cover since they are used very frequently in college culture.
