Zoe TP #2

My second tutoring partner is awesome! He's a Chinese grad student named Wei, he's been here for about 5 months and is studying communications. For the first session, we thought it would be fitting to just get to know each other a little more before we dive into lessons. We met at a Starbucks and ordered coffee, and I gotta say that he has great taste because he ordered the most delicious mocha! One of the first things that I noticed about him was his Michael Jordan backpack. I told him that my mom actually went to college with MJ, and Wei thought that was super interesting. He told me that basketball is huge in China, and that Michael Jordan has an almost god-like status there. Wei told me that he was going to go to a shooting range this weekend, because guns are illegal in China, and he wants to be able to say that he has shot one. He's a pretty adventurous dude--he was also talking about how he wants to go skydiving! He is very easy to talk to and has a lot of interesting stories to share. I'm looking forward to meeting with him again!
