Docster TP #9

On Wednesday evening I met with Ali at CIES. We continued preparing for his IELTS exam in March with a mock speaking exam. I found a practice test on the IELTS website and walked him through how the speaking portion would be handled on the exam. We completed the three parts of the test (talking about home, talking about a concrete topic, and talking about an abstract topic) in about 50 minutes. I emphasized the need to practice as much as possible on his own in order to do well on the exam, as he will only have about 15 minutes to complete the same number of tasks.
