Date/Time: Feb. 11, 1:00 pm
Location: Ramin's Speaking Class

This class started off with a vocabulary quiz given by Harrison (teaching assistant?) in Ramin's class. I was given a quiz to look over, and the words were relatively tricky. I mean, they're words that we use every once in a while, but I was surprised of the word choice on the quiz. Some were synonyms and were difficult for some of the students to remember. Some of the words included conducive, interpret, define, hypothesis, and investigate.
After this quiz, the TA Harrison directed a vocabulary game. The class was split into three groups. Each group had one minute to create as many sentences as possible, with one person from the group speaking at a time. If a sentence was grammatically correct and the student used the vocabulary correctly, then the team got 3 points. If the a sentence wasn't grammatically correct but the student used the vocabulary word, then the team got 1 point.
The class got extremely competitive. After each round the groups had a few minutes a look over the vocabulary list. Ramin had me sit-in with Joanna's group and I helped them figure out which words were best to use and some sentences they could use for the game. It was actually a little challenging for me as well since a lot of the words were synonyms!
This was a very fun class and everyone was well-behaved. They were a higher level group, but it was a little clickish. I would assume that happens in every class though, right? Overall, a very awesome class.
