Feedback: Asked Matthew to read chapter of a small book - Buffalo Before Breakfast by Mary Pope Osborne.
He wrote a good summary really fast. I did checked and recommended several corrections. Changed was a linking verb to were. He started some sentences with So, a conjunction. I made one edition and he noticed the improvement. He made corrections to his summary, He is very good and fast with math,
Lesson: Matthew needs feedback, he likes to receive correction. Sadly the school teacher does not read his reading summaries, she just only writes a check mark. He loves to read, he seems to be good at skimming.
I am impressed with Matthew. His mother wants him to focus on reading whole books. I will try to motivate him to accomplish his mother request.
