I met today with Dalal for the second time. We started out by talking about the weekend and what we both did. We talked about class today as well. She showed me what she had been working on today and how she has to give a presentation tomorrow in class. She asked for my help on understanding what one question was asking, because she didn't fully understand Medicare, the retirement process and the governments role in it as well as the laws for full time employee medical benefits. I spent a while explaining it all to her so she could better understand the information she will be presenting. After this, she picked out a page from her CIES reading section that she hadn't read yet about America being the Land of Opportunity. She struggled with larger words like opportunity, immigration and migration, even though she knew what the words meant. We talked about what she read for a little while and went over the words she had trouble pronouncing again. We plan on meeting again next week.
