Meeting with Hamoud was a fiasco as the beginning because he went to the wrong Starbucks, and when I went to meet him at the one he went to, he had headed to the one that I was at before. We were texting but his English skill level is so low, that I think it was taking him a long time to decipher my texts. After about 20 minutes of running around and looking for each other, we finally met up.

Hamoud seems nice, but he is a very beginner. That being said, he told me he had only been learning English for a couple of weeks, so I am very impressed by the skills he already has. We talked about what he liked to do in his free time. He is into MMA and has already joined a gym here. Like Soud, he wants to study Petro Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. I think these Saudi guys are following in their fathers' footsteps with their career choices.

My conversation with Hamoud was slow and limited. I think he was pretending to understand most of what I was saying, but he did respond often enough with an appropriate answer to my questions, that I know he was understanding a lot. I'm not sure how to work with him as a conversation partner other than to just speak and have him listen and try to get him to answer questions.
