Meredith TP #2

My second tutoring session with PJ was better and worse than the first. He seemed especially antsy and disinterested in reading, which I am attributing to it being Friday night. However, we were able to finish the book we started the previous time, December Dog, and he has gotten better at reading for comprehension. He was not paying attention in the beginning, but as the session went on, and he realized I was going to test him every couple of pages, he started to pay attention as he read. We switched off once in a while, and I would read a few pages to give him a break. By the end, even though he was getting restless, he was reading for comprehension. I think that the book also did not interest him, so he had an even harder time paying attention.
