Today I met my first conversation partner Hesham. I learned that he is from Saudi Arabia and just recently moved to Tallahassee from Valdosta Georgia. He is 23 years old. He told me how it is an exciting experience to be able to come to America to study. On his first night here he had not even made reservation plans to sleep anywhere so he slept outside! We talked a lot about American culture and what he liked and disliked. We shared what foods we liked, movies, tv shows, sports. Hesham does not like American football but loves to play soccer. He wants to study Law at FSU. We  also shared stories about our travels. He has traveled much more than I have to places like China, Mexico, and Dubai, all of which I have never visited. We eventually talked about how he likes learning and speaking english. From talking to him, I thought he had a much better grasp on the language than he gave himself credit for. He said he has trouble with vocabulary and that English is very hard for him.
